  • After a year of testing, UrbanWorld News is streamed across Motorola Reflex technology and begins pushing news content to opt in subscribers. Beta test club included a plethora of West Coast Hip Hop artist ranging from Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube to E40.
  • On-Air Personality Adimu of Los Angeles radio station 100.3 The Beat, breaks a UrbanWorld News story over the air. UrbanWorld News becomes a recognized source of news amongst various radio station including San Francisco’s KMEL and New Yorks Hot 97.

  • After departing from Flynt Publication's, Rap Page Magazine, Founder Mike Johns started UrbanWorld Wireless.
